Luc Ngan Lychee, the esteemed fruit of Bac Giang Province, is renowned for its intense sweetness and distinct aroma, a testament to the unique geological and climatic cradle where it thrives.

Cultivated along the gentle slopes and downstream basin of the Luc Nam River, the trees benefit from a complex soil structure—including alluvium and pale-reddish/gray soils—that is highly permeable, ensuring optimal drainage and nutrient delivery. This area is sheltered by the Dong Trieu arc and Bac Son hills, creating a unique microclimate: hot, humid, and rainy summers balanced by a long, cold, and dry winter. This thermal contrast is critical, promoting ideal flower differentiation and maximizing the accumulation of sugars. Thanks to meticulous cultivation methods on these specific terrains, each Luc Ngan lychee achieves superior quality: Round fruit (avg. 20-25g), thin skin, turning bright red when ripe with smooth spikes. The flesh (aril) is thick, translucent white, and distinctively crunchy-juicy, with a small seed, resulting in a high edible ratio of 71-82%. Intensely sweet with a characteristic aroma, completely non-acidic and non-astringent. The quality is confirmed by a high Brix level (15.2–21.5%) and Total Sugar Content (12.73–17.38%), alongside a good Vitamin C content (14.21–20.27 mg/100g), delivering a truly satisfying and unforgettable taste experience.
